BG Shape

Success by design. I take a flexible approach, pulling from these frameworks:

There isn't one perfect process. Each project is unique, consisting of multi-layered variables and business needs, so why stick to the same process each time? The ability to design an individualized process using the best tools for a project is a significant and often overlooked skill.

Feature Icon

Human-Centered

A process that starts with the people. Human-centered design is a way of examining the details and improving the usability of a particular product or service.

Feature Icon

Design Thinking

A non-linear, iterative problem solving process. The design thinking process looks at the bigger picture and works great for creating new products.

Feature Icon

Double Diamond

A framework for innovation. The Double Diamond design process is a widely used methodology for identifying a problem and developing a solution.

Feature Icon

Data Driven

No one working on a product is the user. Data driven design is the practice of basing your design decisions on data rather than intuition, biases, personal preferences

My
Approach

UX Chunking: Strategy, Scope & Surface

My product-focused approach aims to provide solid but flexible human-centered design processes through the concept of ‘chunking.’ In the whole picture, chunks are consequential; they co-exist, they are interdependent, and always interconnected. These blocks of procedures follow a fluid UX Chunking framework but also work perfectly with every other approach or way of work (Eg. Design Thinking, Double Diamond).

0 < 1

Strategy

Understand the core problem. Investigate, empathize, inspire, define direction, and select opportunities.

+ 2 +

Scope

Ideate, plan, reduce risk, and maximize value. The user and business needs translate into requirements and product goals.

3 ∞

Surface

Design, track, test, and measure success. Take all the work and decisions into the final product and iterate upon it.
